Statewide Aviation Economic Impact Study and Aviation-related Tax Revenue Analysis

Amanda, as Georgia DOT Aviation Programs staff, managed a multi-disciplinary consultant team to successfully complete the inventory, analysis, and documentation of the economic impact of Georgia’s airport system of 103 publicly-owned, public-use airports and their related contributions to the state’s general fund. The study provided airport-level and state system plan-level economic impacts, aviation-related tax revenue analysis, full-color brochures and presentations for communities to utilize, a full-color 16-page executive summary, and a 10-minute film entitled Georgia Airports Mean Business which conveyed unique stories of airports successfully serving their communities as critical resources to attract and retain business and industry.
